What is the NMC Regulation For MBBS in Russia in 2026?

1. Minimum Course Duration :- 54 months 

The foreign medical students must have completed the “54 months” of the continuing MBBS program. This means a medical program must be completed at the same university for the continuing period. 

2. Mandatory internship :- 12 months 

• The minimum duration of the internship is 12 months in the same foreign medical institution. 

3. Language of MBBS course :- English 

• The language of instruction for the course should be English. Moreover, 

• Lecture must be in english 

• Training in the clinical centre 

• Theoretical exam (Semester exam)

4. Mandatory Subjects mentioned in regulation. 

• The candidate must have studied the required subjects mentioned in schedule 1 of FMGL regulation 2021. 

5. Is there any time limit for completion of the course?

Yes, the MBBS course must be completed within the 10 years. 

6. Requirement of license to practice :- Students must be granted with the license to practice in a respected country. 

• The students are required to be registered with the professional regulatory body of medical that allows foreign medical graduates competent to gain a license to practice medicine in the jurisdiction of the respective country.
